Hi,

I am new to Stock Trading ( just doing my MBA now) , but have done a lot of study in the past few weeks with friends who are in the Stock Market for long time.

Different people have been recomending different methods/strategies as the best way to trade ( intra day and positional).

The EMA crossover method seemed to make send to me .

Can any of the Forunmers guide me on their experience using the EMA crossover method and what period DEMA they found most suitable.

Thanks

Never blindly follow moving average crossovers. They are not only difficult to trade but making money trading moving average crossover is more difficult.

Ok.

Is it because of too many whipsaws ( as the Nifty is doing these days) that you do not prefer trading EMA crosses?

Pay attention to pure price action, forget EMA's and Indicators. It is nothing but ..... Just waste of time.

At the outset- and so that you don't have to reinvent the wheel - the system you follow is gonna be only 25% of your game. Rest is your own psychology. So pick one method and see if you can trade well with it( u must do at least 50 trades before you discard it) Do small values and log the trade result and workout the expectancy of the system.

It is a journey - bon voyage !
