Hi,
Gaps are one of the most interesting things to trade. No rocket science required and even a newbie(like me Smile ) can trade it easily. Trading Gaps are quite tricky but one thing is for sure you can get almost an equivalent amount of gap (some times more than equivalent to gaps) on either side. One point to note if gaps are quite strong they take longer time to fill and if they are weak they get filled in 1-2 days. So basically we target absolute filling of gaps or absolute reverting from the gap. Key to identify the direction is simple, notice the past movement of gaps and their strength (as i said no rocket science required). And if you are still in doubt which direction it will go do a simple thing(again no rocket science) take positions for both side and square off the loss making position if it retraces more than 23% which gives you a sense of direction ( again I'll say study the past movements). As of Nifty I got 20% retracement rule holding true. I'll keep posting charts of Gaps here in this thread and if you are really interested post the Gaps of your scrips here so we can discuss it further. Reference material for trading Gaps is available on Net. Just google it.

Hope you'll love trading gaps.
Cya.
