Being fundamentalist in stock market is indeed lethal. After reading some online magazine, opinions, I thought market is going to fall. so I continuously bet on negative side and booked some loss.
Moral: Being sentimetal and following fundamental is indeed lethal. so be a tecnicalist. no sentiments. no others opinions. just follow rules. |

one day i did daytrade. my entry position was right. But due to high volatility stoploss hit quickly and i booked loss. but later that day (after some minutes)
again the market was moving in upside.
Moral: Have right stoploss. Else right entries can turn into loss. |

one day around 3.15 pm i created a short position (without not properly watching charts , i assumed market crossed a important support ). It was Friday. I dreamed i am going to make book a profit. but on Monday market reversed. gap up occurred. Then I hoped a bearish candle will form. But that candle was bullish candle in the evening.
Moral:Do not presume. See charts clearly. Next thing, do not hope. just take loss if stoploss hit. Hope is a good thing, but not in stock market. finally do not dream. |

one morning i saw american market has fallen 2 percent. so during opening i created short position. but on that day nse ended green and finished above one percent raise. They said Indian market raised because petrol price in international market has fallen which is good to Indian economy.
Moral: following other markets and taking positions will be too dangerous. |

often it happens. you have opened a position. Next day what will you do when market opens beyond your stoploss. you will close your position immediately or wait for the price to reach ur stoploss.
moral: Analyse ur position after the market hours and be prepared for any unexpected move in the next day.

i also have the shorts in the market mainly in banknifty and stock specific
i feel the main culprit to bring down the nifty would be banking sector
