Be careful with IndiaBulls and Geojit. Have heard that there many complaints pending.
One major complaint about such firms is inactive account (party may have gone abroad, they phone to check, no answer) is raided and used for intraday, profits siphoned off, loss then they give delivery and forge client signature accepting contract note
Avoid Integ Enterp (Madras HQ). their supervision of trading staff is lax, they give lot of leeway to people from same community (3 horizontal lines) even if they enter other people's accounts or start illegal "my brain, your money" partnerships!
Brokerage rate is ONLY one aspect of trading. Fast trades, attention to complaints, fast square off on phone if something goes wrong like loss of internet, not doing illegal things, making sure your shares and money kept with them are safe, etc.
Better to google and see if the brokerage you shortlisted doesnt have many negative posts

Hi,i am using nirmal bang.brokerage is 1.5%fr del but can be negotiated if volumes are good.The services are good,staff is friendly and software is upto mark.

Never go to Angel Broking. I was a sub-broker, I know how they loot clients.

I have account with Geojit for last four years. I feel they follow the rules laid down by authorities and my money is safe with them. At the end of every quarter they transfer the cash balance in my trading a/c to my bank, I understand this is as per SEBI instructions.
For the last one year I am doing intra-day trades through Zerodha as transaction costs are less and happy with their service. My demat a/c and positional trades are with Geojit.
