How can I clear my Java cache?

If you do not know which JAVA your browser is using, please go to the following website: http://www.javatester.org/version.html and you will see the Java version in the pink coloured text box. This will tell you which Java you are using. If the page shows some version followed by "from Sun Microsystems Inc." then you are using SUN JAVA. Then follow the instructions for Sun Java below. If you see something else (like version 1.14 etc then it is Microsoft JVM, follow the relevant instructions for it below).

If you have enabled Microsoft JVM in Internet Explorer (see Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced to see which JVM is enabled):

1. Delete Temporary Internet Files by going to Tools -> Internet Options

2. Close all open Internet Explorer windows

3. Start with a fresh Internet Explorer window and login to iCharts website and try JCharts.

If you have enabled Sun Java in your browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox or Opera) :

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Java (double click on the Java icon to open Java control panel)

2. In the Java Control Panel window, click on "Settings" button. This will open "Temporary Files Settings" window.

3. Click on "Delete Files" button, this will open "Delete Temporary Files" window.

4. Make sure "Applications and Applets" is CHECKED / SELECTED. Click OK button to clear Java cache.

5. Close all open Java Control Panel windows to close the java control panel. Close all open browser windows.

6. Start with a fresh browser window and login to iCharts website and try JCharts.

Step by step instructions on how to clear Sun Java cache are also available here: http://java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache.xml
